Long time...no blog

It has been over a year now since I blogged, in fact I only blogged once. Right after my first blog our computer crashed & we needed to go out & get a new one & a new printer, etc... Now I know you're thinking it shouldn't have taken a whole year & a few months for me to get started again. Well what can I say, it was a challenge for me to decide to start a blog anyway & with all the headaches that come with a new computer, I just gave up on the blog for awhile (okay, for a LONG while). But I have decided to give it another go. So stay tuned...

Art Happens Starting Now

   Greetings! I'm brand new at this blogging, so here goes...I've been hearing & reading from many different sources that it is a good idea to have a blog, especially since I am an artist creating paintings & art jewelry to share & sell. I thought I'd call my blog Art Happens because that's just what it does..it happens all over really, in art studios, in our heads, in books, zines, on the internet & television, everywhere out in the world. My view on art is a wide one I guess, not that I personally like all the art that is out there but there is something for everyone which I think makes the world interesting.
   I love the days when I get up & it seems as though there are a million ideas happening in my head, I feel so inspired & my muse must be working hard on those kind of days to get me to hear her. Although sometimes it would be nice to get them one at a time each & everyday, but even then I probably wouldn't have the time to create them all anyway. 

   Here is one of my new paintings PHOENIX, hot from the studio. I've been very busy painting & have finished lots of new artwork for upcoming shows. There will be lots of matting & framing time for me to look forward to, not my favorite part of the creative process. But when I'm done with it, I really enjoy seeing my work framed & ready to hang.
